Crystalline silica dust particles can be small enough to be inhaled into the deepest areas of the lungs where they can cause several health problems, including silicosis, lung cancer, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, emphysema, and pulmonary tuberculosis. We only use accredited laboratories for our sample analysis.
We have assessed hundreds of workers’ exposures to crystalline silica in a variety of industries including:
- Hydraulic fracturing
- Abrasive blasting (sandblasting)
- Oil sand extraction and upgrading
- Granite countertop manufacturing
- Gravel crushing
